Böhlau and Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht Merge Publishing Business
Berlin, 20.09.2016. Böhlau publishers (Vienna and Cologne) are being sold to Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht, the family publisher from Göttingen. Dr. Sven Fund, fullstopp’s Managing Director, has advised the owners of Böhlau, Dr. Peter and Johannes Rauch, in the preparation and the execution of the transaction.
Böhlau is one of the big old names in German language humanities publishing that reach back to the 17th century. Over the course of the past years, the company underwent a significant change process – it adapted processes and products to a truly digital enterprise to meet changing customer demands.
